LUNA The Shadow Dust

Nobody speaks a single line in this one. A young boy and his small companion climb an ancient tower at the edge of the world, and everything you learn about them comes from how they move, what each room quietly reveals, and the orchestral score underneath. You control both, switching between them, because most of the tower's puzzles need two pairs of hands in different places at once. Every frame is drawn by hand in the old way, which is why the characters move as they do, loose and weighty and a little hypnotic. The puzzles are real puzzles too, more about noticing than clicking everything twice. To light a candle is to cast a shadow, and LUNA The Shadow Dust keeps circling back to that idea in its cinematics. Short, unhurried, and it lingers longer than its running time suggests.
