Red Ball 4

The villains' plan is to squeeze the planet into a square, which is about the rudest thing you can do to a round hero, and so Red Ball rolls out. You bounce, you jump, you build momentum, and the physics does as much of the work as your thumbs do. That is the catch with a ball: it keeps going after you stop pressing, so most deaths come from overshooting a ledge rather than misjudging a jump. Seventy-five levels of traps and monsters lead into boss fights that ask you to read a pattern instead of just charging it. Cloud saves mean progress follows you between devices, and if the touch controls feel imprecise, it takes an HID gamepad. The soundtrack is sillier than the premise deserves, and that is the right call.
