That is the squeeze at the heart of The Last Factory: rogue AUTON patrols scale their raids to your output, so a smelter chain that doubles production also doubles what turrets and EMP emitters have to hold off. The setting earns its strangeness — a tidally locked mining world with one hemisphere burning and the other frozen, your base wedged into the habitable strip between. Coolant only exists on the night side, which forces you outward into procedural fog past derelict archives and a scratched-out memorial. You pay once and own it, no ads, no energy timers, no purchases nagging at the build screen. It is still in active development, so expect gaps, but the core loop already bites where it should.
