1898 in the Philippines, the tail end of Spanish rule and the start of the American one, and Rayadillo Mobile splits that year in two: one campaign follows the historical record, the other lets aswang overrun it. Same rifle, same ground to hold, very different reason you are pulling the trigger. The zombie route is not a novelty skin bolted on either, it sits alongside the straight retelling as a full second storyline. Worth knowing before you buy: this is a paid game still in active development, with chapters, levels and features listed as things that might arrive later, so you are paying for an unfinished story and agreeing to that up front. The combat is blunt about what war looks like, gunfire and blood and dead men, which is why the parental guidance note is there. Curious premise, honest about its gaps.
